Company profile

The head office and the mill of Lamco Forest Products is located in Saint-Félicien, Lac-St-Jean, in the province of Quebec, close to coniferous forests rich in black spruce.

Lamco Forest Products is a manufacturer operating in the secondary wood processing industry. The company’s main activity is the manufacturing of innovative lumber products made from small-size lumber. By using its unique and patented edge gluing and tongue-and-groove jointing technology, Lamco Forest Products is able to offer to its customers exceptionally strong lumber, such as Relam LFS structural components and engineered rimboard. This cutting-edge process was developed to take the best benefits of the full strength of the fibers growing in the small trees of the North East Canadian coniferous forests.

Our process transforms the small size lumber produced by sawmills into edge glued and finger jointed large size products up to 16" in depth and 24' in length. Our products are completely flawless and they are much less subject to warping than natural wood because of the presence of solid longitudinal and transversal joints. Every single piece of wood in our bundles is useable, thus eliminating unnecessary expenses and profit-reducing handling charges and can be produced to the exact dimension in depth and length according to the need of every of our customers.
